PHOTOGRAPHY
I try to stay curious about the usual,
about what I think is very familiar to me
see its unfamiliarity,
how, usually,
unusual
the usual is
staying present with it,
letting it take me somewhere,
unfamiliar
My Relationship with Photography
Luckily, my grandma keeps everything. So, as I child, I got to find all kinds of objects from the past. Those were my favorite toys. My grandfather, one I never met, was an avid hobby photographer and had a bunch of quirky Soviet-era cameras. I remember my dad showing me his diapositives on a strange little machine. They were from Europe and Africa, from places where grandpa used to work. I wanted to do that too, so I took his Kodak Retinette 35mm film camera as a serious toy. I remember I liked looking at things through the viewfinder, travelling to unknow places. Then, after some time, my parents got me a film, and I took a lot of really silly photos.
OUD WOUD
Together with three other creatives, I was offered to create a visual expression for the single Oud Woud by alternative Swedish artists Per Svedlund and Moun
We’ve tried to stay in tune with the artists’ vision and translate the emotions behind the track capturing its dark tone. Something like lost in the woods. The color red was the red thread connecting all the visuals.
The mysterious single is not yet released. Stay tooned.
